The tour begins with your hotel pick-up in Kusadasi. Pick-ups in Kusadasi start at 08:30 am, while pick-ups in Selcuk begin at 09:00 am. Once all tour participants have gathered, the exploration of Ephesus commences with a visit to the House of the Virgin Mary.

The House of the Virgin Mary is believed to be the place where Mary may have spent her final days, potentially accompanied by Saint John. In 1986, it was officially declared a shrine of the Roman Catholic Church and has since become a popular pilgrimage site. Pope Paul VI visited the shrine in 1967. The visit to the House (church) takes approximately 1 hour, and after this visit, we will drive for about 10 minutes to Ephesus.

Ephesus is a remarkable testament to the cultural traditions of the Hellenistic, Roman Imperial, and early Christian periods. It holds great significance for Christianity as one of the seven Churches of Revelation. Apostle Paul likely spent two and a half years in Ephesus during his third missionary journey. Over the course of two hours, you will explore the city on foot, accompanied by our English-speaking tour guide. During the tour, you will see various sites such as the Odeon, state agora, pretension, Memmius monument, Domitian temple, Hercules gate, Curetes Street, Hadrian temple, and latrines. Please note that visiting the private houses, also known as the ‘Terrace Houses,’ is optional and requires an additional fee. If you wish to visit the Terrace Houses, please inform your guide in advance. After the Terrace Houses, we will continue our exploration, visiting the Celsus Library, marble road, commercial agora, great theater, and Arcadiane (harbor road).

A delightful lunch will be served at a charming local restaurant. Following lunch, we will visit the Temple of Artemis, one of the ‘seven wonders of the ancient world.’ This is an excellent opportunity to capture stunning photos of the Church of St. John and the İsa Bey Mosque.

Sirince is an old village of Byzantine Greeks situated on the hills of Selcuk, approximately 9 km from Ephesus.

As part of the peace agreement after the Turkish national war (1919-1922), a formal exchange of Turkish and Greek populations took place, and Sirince is now predominantly inhabited by Turkish people. The village is renowned for its beautiful traditional houses and the production of fruit-flavored wines. You will have free time to enjoy some wine tasting. The daily tour concludes around 4:30 pm, and you will be transported back to your hotel.
