Hodjapasha Cultural Center is a wonderful element of the city’s remarkable cultural mosaic, located between the great Hagia Sophia Basilica and the gorgeous Topkapi Palace. It was formerly a huge 15th-century hamam (Turkish bath), but now it invites tourists under its high dome ceilings to display some of the greatest traditions of Turkey.

Watch the Mevlevi Order’s mysterious dance, whose whirling dance has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Sema ceremony is a musical  journey through man’s spiritual ascension to “perfection” via mind and love—a really unforgettable and breathtaking event.

Highlights of the exhibition Displays contain information about dervishes and their rituals, as well as clothes, musical instruments, and personal items, and literature related to the world of dervishes.
